The unit problem

27 of 47 products publish a unit price. They are counting 14 different things. The cheapest published unit is $0.0012 and the dearest is $30 — a 25,000x spread that means nothing, because a credit is not a token is not a minute is not a resolution.

This page does what a pricing teardown does first: puts every number on one axis, says which ones were read and which ones we computed, keeps comparison to the same meter, and then asks the only question a buyer has — what does one unit of my work cost? — using nothing but figures on the vendor's own page.

14
different units

1,000 Notion credits, 1M input tokens, 1M input tokens (v0 Pro model), AI credit, Action (plus separate Vendor Credits), activity… Six families once you group the ones that are the same thing.

208x
spread on a "credit"

$0.0012 to $0.25. Not a price difference — a definition difference.

1,250x
widest cost of one task

Lindy: 2 to 2,500 credits per task ('Everyday Asks' 2–250 · 'Deep work' 250–1,000 · 'Big Builds' 1,000–2,500). The buyer cannot forecast it; the pricing lead can fix it.

Every unit price in the index on one log axis, grouped by what is being counted

Filled marks were read off the page. Hollow volt marks were computed by IY from two published figures (the arithmetic is in section 04). The ice diamond is a unit IY re-expressed so it could sit on the same line as its family. Hover any mark for the vendor's own words.

Across the whole axis the numbers are not comparable. Within a row they are. That is the entire method, and most published comparisons skip it.

The token row is the only clean benchmark in the set: 7 vendors, one unit, a 23x spread on list — and every one of the big three then discounts reuse so steeply that the list price is the ceiling, not the price. The credit row is the opposite: 8 vendors, one word, and no two of them mean the same thing by it.

03

One unit of work

What a task, a conversation, a minute or a million tokens can cost — computed from the vendor's page, nothing else

For each vendor whose page gives enough to do the arithmetic, the bar runs from the cheapest case the page allows to the dearest. An open arrow means the page names a further charge without bounding it. The ice tick is the headline on the plan card. Width is the finding: the wider the bar, the less a buyer can forecast, and the more a pricing conversation is worth. Every bar is DERIVED; hover for the arithmetic.

Lindy sells a credit at $0.01 and a task at anywhere from $0.02 to $24.99. The unit price is true. It is also useless until the task is defined — and defining it is the vendor's job, not the buyer's.

A derived unit price never appears unmarked — that is the whole promise of the format. If a figure above disagrees with the index it is flagged, not averaged.

What this page is a demo of

Your page, made to do this arithmetic

A fixed-scope pricing teardown: value metric, packaging and price level, benchmarked against this index, one recommended structure with a metering plan, a 60-minute working session and a written memo. Five business days from payment. $3,500, credited in full against a follow-on implementation. The first three at $2,500 in exchange for a short approved case study.

Every row: one vendor, one page, one dated read, a verbatim quote. 39 rows read 2026-09-08; 8 re-read 2026-09-18. 9 of 47 publish no price at all and are not on this page — that is a finding of its own, on the index. Right of reply and removal: write to hello@ignatiustheyoungerai.com — a correction publishes with its date and what changed; a row comes down on request and the index records only that it did.
